Students from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy in Chicago went viral after performing a "mini mock conclave" project in May 2025, shortly before Pope Leo XIV was elected in the Vatican's real conclave to replace Pope Francis after his death in April. The students from Chicago got to meet Leo on Oct. 8, 2025, in St. Peter's Square.
