Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi on Thursday to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming the Modi government’s resolve to achieve a terrorism-free region. The meeting was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Union Home Secretary, the Director of Intelligence Bureau, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir, along with senior officials from the Government of India, the Army, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
