IONIA, Mich. (WILX) - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is marking the month by offering free mammograms.
UM-Health Sparrow is set to hold three mobile mammogram clinics in Mid-Michigan:
Friday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
UM Health-Sparrow Ionia, 3565 S. State St., Ionia.
Monday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
UM Health-Sparrow Carson, 406 E. Elm St., Carson City.
Friday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
UM Health-Sparrow Lansing Health Center, 2909 E. Grand River Ave., Lansing.
The service is free. UM-Health Sparrow says the clinics aim to combat the “common barriers to healthcare,” specifically for rural and uninsured people.
