Alberta’s teachers and the province are heading back to the bargaining table next week.
The Alberta Teachers’ Association said Thursday talks will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
This comes on day four of the teachers’ strike, which has 51,000 educators off the job.
Exploratory discussions between the parties that started last Friday have helped in the development of further negotiations, the ATA adds.
According to the union, it was the party that reinitiated a formal bargaining meeting with the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association.
The ATA says it is unable to provide further details.
CityNews has reached out to the province for comment.
