COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) - Officials with the South Carolina Department of Public Health hosted a press conference Thursday, releasing an ambitious new plan aimed to improve the overall health and well-being of residents statewide.
SCDPH officially launched its 2025–2030 State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP), marking the first major update since the COVID-19 pandemic.
SCDPH leaders said the updated plan has been built off years of data collection and community input, designed to address the most pressing health challenges facing South Carolinians.
