PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio (TMX) — Police in Ohio “found themselves in hot pursuit” of an unusual suspect in the early hours of Wednesday morning: an enormous inflatable pumpkin.

The Parma Heights Police Department said officers working early Wednesday had to chase a giant inflatable pumpkin that was “rolling through town.”

Dashboard and body-worn camera video shared by the police department shows the moment an officer finally got hold of the pumpkin, with the help of a bystander.

“I was kind of like, following it, and it kept blowing away, and when I went to grab it over here it just took off,” the officer tells another officer arriving at the scene. “I was pretty much in pursuit.”
