MUSSELWHITE — The Musselwhite mine looks to have some legs to last a few more years.

The northwestern Ontario mine's new owners, Orla Mining, are touting a “major exploration success” from a drilling program that’s produced some high-grade hits in and around the mine and almost two kilometres out.

In an Oct. 6 news release, Vancouver-based Orla said its exploration team maintains that the geology looks so favourable that this gold trend may extend another 400 metres.

One highlighted result showed 15.1 grams per tonne over a 4.1-metre length of core, with visible gold observed.
