Manuel Puig’s novel Kiss of the Spider Woman has taken many forms. First, the author adapted it into a play. Then it was an Academy Award-winning motion picture starring John Hurt, Raul Julia and Sonia Braga. Later, it even became a Broadway musical, with music by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Terrence McNally.
