SUCCESS, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas State Police said on Thursday that the agency is investigating after three people were killed in a Wednesday night SUV crash in Clay County.

Officials said troopers were called out at 10:30 p.m. to a reported single-vehicle wreck on Arkansas Highway 211, north of Success.

Arriving troopers found a 2001 Xterra that had veered off the road, entered a ditch, hit a tree and caught fire, they said.

The driver, 19-year-old Izabella Brasfield of Marmaduke, and passengers 19-year-old Tara Calhoun and 45-year-old Michelle Braman, both of Corning, were pronounced deceased at the scene, according to officials.
