LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The suspect in a DUI crash that killed a pregnant mother’s baby and injured three people has pleaded not guilty in Las Vegas District Court.

Maximiliano Chavez, 27, appeared in court on Wednesday. He faces charges, including reckless driving resulting in death and DUI resulting in death.

An emergency C-section was performed following the crash. The baby died shortly thereafter. The boy who was a passenger in a deadly Las Vegas DUI crash was recovering at Sunrise Hospital for several weeks.

The crash happened last month near Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond. The mother and her 9-year-old son were also hospitalized , but they have since returned home to continue their recovery.

Chavez previously pleaded not guilty in justice court.
