1OCEAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Officials are warning residents to brace for a potentially dangerous weekend storm expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and significant coastal flooding from Saturday evening through Monday morning.

The Ocean Township Office of Emergency Management issued the alert Thursday, urging residents to take precautions and avoid driving through flooded roadways.

Authorities said flooding during high-tide cycles could make several local roads impassable and hazardous for motorists.

Drivers are being asked to plan alternate routes, move vehicles from low-lying areas, and monitor local updates for changing conditions.

Officials urge caution and preparation
