A man killed in a small plane crash in Florida over the weekend along with his son has been identified by family as the owner of a Key West charter business.

Jacob Harnett, 41, and his 11-year-old son Carter were returning from a father-son hunting trip to Kentucky when their plane crashed on Sunday, according to his family.

"They were there for four days had a wonderful father-son time," Andy Harnett, Jacob’s uncle, told NBC6 in a video interview on Thursday.

National Transportation Safety Board officials said the plane, a Beechcraft 58P, crashed about a mile northwest of Williston Regional Airport in Williston, which is about 22 miles south of Gainesville.
