NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville Public Schools and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology are partnering to help Music City students enter technical fields.

The institutions announced Thursday a new program that offers Nashville high schoolers “a streamlined, tuition-free path to earn technical diplomas and certifications through dual enrollment and postsecondary opportunities.”

Mayor Freddie O’Connell celebrated the announcement at McGavock High School along with other local leaders, including the MNPS director of schools, the president of TCAT Nashville and the executive vice chancellor of the Tennessee Board of Regents.
