DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) - A 29-year-old Florence woman allegedly lied about the purchase of four guns and then gave one of them to the man authorities said shot and killed a 27-year-old Darlington County sheriff's deputy in July.
Kristen Taylor Porter faces a five-count federal indictment tied to the killing of Deputy Frank “Devin” Mason, the FBI Field Office Columbia said in a news release on Thursday. Mason and another deputy were ambushed by Cameron Ray Dennett on July 1 inside a mobile home on Old Timers Court near Lamar.
