RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The impacts of the ongoing government shutdown are starting to be felt at airports nationwide.
The FAA is dealing with airport staffing shortages , reporting delays in flights this week, as many airport staff continue to work without pay.
The staffing shortage started on Monday, when air traffic controllers stopped getting paid because of the shutdown.
So far, the Richmond International Airport has experienced minimal disruptions from the government shutdown.
Officials at RIC said the airport has not seen significant delays or a large number of staff calling out sick.
