LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Above average temperatures will continue for Friday and this weekend. Next week should begin cooler with below average temperatures returning to the area. There are several small chances for rain over the next seven days.

Areas of patchy fog are possible early Friday morning. The bulk of the day looks to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, mild and not as breezy. Winds should be northeast at 5 to 15 mph. Low temperatures will be in the low 40s to around 60 with high temperatures in the low 70s to low 80s.

An upper level disturbance should move through the area Friday night into Saturday. This will lead to a 20 to 30% chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Saturday looks to be partly to mostly cloudy and breezy. Winds will be southeast at 10 to 20
