Fort Wayne Housing Authority officials on Thursday offered program participants a measure of reassurance regarding payments during the federal government shutdown, which began Oct. 1.
George Guy, the housing authority's president and CEO, said his staff is in contact with officials at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
“We are monitoring this situation closely and maintaining open communication with HUD and our national partners to ensure continued stability for Fort Wayne residents. Our focus is collaboration, preparedness, and keeping families supported through every circumstance,” he said in a statement.
