Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter will be inactive for Thursday night’s game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, according to NFL Network .

Carter popped up on Tuesday’s injury report with a heel injury and was a limited participant. The Eagles elevated defensive tackle Gabe Hall from the practice squad to prepare for Carter’s potential absence.

The Eagles could struggle to replace Carter’s impact. He is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, especially as a pass rusher.

Philadelphia will need Moro Ojomo and Byron Young to make up for the loss of Carter, but that is a tall task.
