JACKSONVILLE – Call this one the right fit at the right time.

The Jaguars on Thursday acquired cornerback Greg Newsome II from the Cleveland Browns in a trade that sent former Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell – a second-round selection by the Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft – and a 2026 seventh-round selection to the Browns.

The Jaguars also acquired a '26 sixth-round selection in the trade.

"He has a multiple skill set," Campanile said of Greg Newsome II Thursday as the Jaguars (4-1) prepare to play the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) at EverBank Stadium Sunday at 1 p.m.

"He has really good man-to-man skills. He has done a good job in zone, competitive at the point of attack. Really excited about him.

"He will add a bunch to us."
