SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame is riding high as the Irish are currently on a three-game winning streak, and this week they welcome in NC State, who has an explosive offense.

The Wolfpack are led by quarterback CJ Bailey, and he’s one of the most prolific passers in the country. So far this season, he’s thrown for 1,660 yards, which is the fourth most in the country, while also throwing for 13 touchdowns.

Running back Hollywood Smothers is putting up eye-popping stats as well. His 693 rushing yards is good enough to rank second in the country.

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman talked about that combination during his weekly Thursday Zoom news conference.
