CHARLES TOWN — Jurnee Vrobel did a little bit of everything for Washington during Wednesday’s girls soccer game against Hedgesville.

In a dominating performance, Vrobel scored five goals and assisted on another, as she helped lead the Patriots to a 7-2 victory over the Eagles, their 12th straight overall.

“I just felt so good tonight. I can’t explain it,” Vrobel said. “We’re a statement team. We want to make a statement all the time. I need to be up so my team’s up.”

“It was a great win. The girls played well,” Washington coach Tim Michael said.

With Washington down 1-0, Vrobel got the Patriots on the board with 23:24 on the first-half clock, as she received a pass upfield, outran a defender and placed her shot in the back of the net to things up at 1-1.
