Nearly 18 million Netflix subscribers across the UK are being urged not to fall victim to a new scam text message which could grant criminals immediate access to your bank and potentially drain the account within minutes.

If you respond to this alert and enter your details, you could end up paying a lot more than the £12.99 ad-free subscription package. The text message purports to be from Netflix and alerts the recipient their payment has failed or been declined and their account will be suspended unless they update their details immediately.
