NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Less than six months ago, the vision for Sustainable Beef LLC in North Platte became a reality.

Backed by local ranchers, this state-of-the-art beef processing facility was built with the promise of bringing more value back to producers and a high-quality product to consumers.

“We’re four months and one week in, and right now, on average, we are processing right at 800 head a day. We can get through quite a few head in a little bit of time on our harvest floor,” said Ryan Wagnon, Sustainable Beef General Manager.

Nearing the goal of processing 1,500 head of cattle per day, Sustainable Beef’s management has implemented an additional shift for the shipping department.
