Srinagar, Oct 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will hold its nine-day autumn session in Srinagar from October 23 to 31, according to the provisional calendar released by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.

The session will begin on October 23 with obituary references to pay tributes to former legislators and eminent personalities who passed away since the last sitting of the House.

As per the schedule, the Assembly will sit for six working days during the session. October 24 and 25 have been declared off-days, the first to allow members to participate in the biennial elections for four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir, and the second as a non-sitting day. October 26, being a Sunday, will also be a holiday.
