Alabama football will be without a former five-star wide receiver on Saturday when it faces Missouri in Columbia. Jaylen Mbakwe will miss the game, the SEC announced it its availability report, released Thursday evening.

Mbakwe had been listed as doubtful on Wednesday’s report , the first of the week. The sophomore Clay-Chalkville product has not seen the field much at receiver this year, after moving to the position following a freshman year spent at defensive back.

He had been contributing on special teams, but Mbakwe had just one catch this season, for 16 total yards. He also has a rush for four yards and a tackle, all in three games of action.
