(WHTM) -- Colors are peaking much earlier this year in Pennsylvania.

Late summer drought stress means it isn't safe to expect peak foliage closer to Halloween. Instead, Pennsylvanians should get outside in the next two weeks.

It won't be long before the northern part of the state has passed peak colors.

But, what about the Midstate?

"We will see some color, and it's going to be brief," said abc27 News' Chief Meteorologist Eric Finkenbinder.
