BLANKET – The host Blanket Tigers captured the District 21-A cross country team championship earlier this week and will advance to the Region III-A meet in Arlington at the Harold Patterson Sports Complex on Monday, Oct. 20.

Competing for the Tigers were meet champion Alex Valdes (18:12), runner-up Leo Valdez (19:20), fourth-place Wyatt Meadow (19:41), ninth-place Karter Keel (21:39), and 16th-place Kade Russell (23:28).

Also, the Blanket Lady Tigers came in fifth in the final team standings and Audyona Flores is moving on regionals with a 10th-place overall time of 15:27.
