ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Detectives are responding to a vehicle crash that left a pedestrian dead outside of the University of New Mexico Hospital.

A UNMH spokesperson confirmed the person killed was an employee.

University police said both directions of Lomas Boulevard are closed between Stanford Drive and Girard Boulevard SE.

The fatal crash happened sometime Thursday evening, Oct. 9.
