CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – The Savannah Bananas' brand of baseball is returning to Charlotte next summer.
The traveling team known for its twist on the sport, “Banana Ball,” is sending two of its alternate teams to Truist Field June 4-6, they announced Thursday. Last season, the Bananas played consecutive sold-out nights next door at Bank of America Stadium.
Two of the now-six teams playing Banana Ball, the Firefighters and the Texas Tailgaters, are coming to the home of the Charlotte Knights.
