Despite the already long list of returning MCU stars in Avengers: Doomsday , don’t expect Andrew Garfield to swing by for a cameo.

Although Marvel stars are usually sworn to secrecy about their involvement in a project, the 2x Oscar nominee left no confusion about whether or not he and Tobey Maguire would be back as Spider-Man in the upcoming superhero team-up, premiering Dec. 18, 2026.

“No, unequivocally fucking no,” said Garfield while answering fan questions in a video for GQ .

Following his tenure as Peter Parker in Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its 2014 sequel, Garfield joined predecessor Maguire in reprising their shared role alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
