NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - While the Gulf of America sees diminished chances for possible tropical formation, we continue to monitor two spots in the Atlantic.

First. we'll talk about Tropical Storm Jerry whose about 140-miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 65-mph and tropical-storm-force winds that extend outward from the center up to 175-miles.

The National Hurricane Center says that "Jerry is currently moving toward the west-northwest near 18-mph" with a turn toward the northwest expected Thursday evening followed by a "slightly slower northward motion on Friday and Saturday."

The NHC forecasts that the center of Jerry will pass near the northern Leeward Islands and see little chance in strength for Thursday evening, but the storm is expected
