MINOT, ND (KXNET) — What happens when a police chief and a fire chief walk into a podcast? You get a mix of crime stats, safety tips, and maybe even a few dad jokes.

Minot Police Chief Michael Frye and Minot Fire Chief Kelli Kronschnabel are teaming up to launch a new podcast — and they’re letting the public help pick the name. The duo says the show will let neighbors see a different side of their chiefs while still digging into serious topics like crime trends, domestic violence awareness, and community partnerships.

“One of the first groups that we are going to visit with is the domestic violence center. Most people don’t even know that maybe exists,” said Chief Kelli Kronschnabel. “We want to highlight partners in the community and how we are working together to serve our citizens.”
