TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A woman was killed in an accident involving a UTV-type vehicle near Wilmot and Valencia in Tucson on Thursday, Oct. 9.

The Tucson Police Department confirmed the fatal crash and said more information would be released on Friday.

The TPD said it happened in the 6000 block of East Alexander Anton Lane, which appears to be near a train track.

Thursday’s crash was the 13th serious accident 13 News has reported on this month alone. In those incidents, 10 people have died.

On Oct. 1, 52-year-old Jorge Alberto Mejia was hit and killed while walking in the 1100 block of South 6th Avenue . The TPD said the driver who hit Mejia fled the scene.

On Oct. 2, a teen boy was hit while riding a scooter in the 8000 block of North Silverbell Road in Marana.
