After graduating nine seniors from last year's squad and bringing just two starters back, veteran Savannah Christian volleyball coach Julie Jones thought that 2025 might be a rebuilding season.

But a young Raider squad has come into its own and is peaking at the perfect time as the state playoffs are set to start next week. On Tuesday, Savannah Christian beat visiting St. Vincent's 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20 to win the Area 3A Championship.
