TAIPEI (Reuters) -Taiwan President Lai Ching-te said on Friday that the government will build the “T-Dome” air defence system to provide multi-layered and effective interception against enemy threats.

Lai, speaking at his national day address, said Taiwan is determined to maintain peace through strength, and called on China to renounce the use of coercion to change the status quo.
