The exact date when works are set to start for a string of improvements in a town centre has been revealed.

Construction is due to start on Monday, October 20, in Bulwell town centre as residents and businesses are due to receive much-needed enhancements.

The total cost of the plans stands at £20million , which was secured following a successful bid from Nottingham City Council to the previous government's Levelling Up fund.

The list of improvements was drawn up following a detailed consultation with the town's residents and businesses, which highlighted the need for more high-quality green space, easier ways to get around the town centre, more activities and an enhancement of the night-time economy.
