O'FALLON, Mo. — Fort Zumwalt West High senior Mason Youmans saw an opportunity Thursday night, and he seized it.

The Jaguars were tied in the second half with visiting Orchard Farm in a GAC Champions Cup match when they were awarded a free kick about 25 yards from goal. Youmans was setting up for the opportunity when teammate Jovanni Giffon approached.

"I told him that I had it,'' Youmans recalled later. "I could tell he was angry, but then he was one of the first to congratulate me after I hit the shot. That's a spot where I feel extremely comfortable."
