BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Birmingham’s BJCC continues to be one of the city’s biggest economic drivers, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors downtown each year. Now, new plans just up the street aim to expand that impact, bringing new homes and investment to the Druid Hills neighborhood next door.

From concerts to conventions, the BJCC keeps downtown buzzing — and that buzz is paying off.

“And in the first half of 2025, the BJCC again was Birmingham’s number one visitor destination, drawing a little over 787,000 visits to the area,” said Tad Snider, CEO of the BJCC.
