On Thursday afternoon, about 50 community members gathered at the Trotter Multicultural Center for a U.S. immigration policy talk as part of their Let’s Unpack That teach-in series, co-hosted by the Ford School of Public Policy Center for Racial Justice .

Panelists discussed current immigration policy under the Trump administration and its impacts on communities nationwide. Kristina Fullerton Rico , postdoctoral fellow at the Public Policy School, began by addressing how the actions of President Donald Trump’s administration have gone far beyond their original promise of mass deportation of immigrants.
