A grandad stranded in a Greek hospital following a dispute between doctors and insurers over his medical treatment is finally getting home - thanks to the Daily Record.
David Bloomfield, 86, fell and fractured his left hip on a two-week holiday in Crete last month having flown out with easyJet. His insurance cover through the airline meant he was able to have an operation to repair the break at the private Creta Interclinic in the capital Heraklion on September 22.
