BHOPAL: The Lokayukta raided four sites linked to ex-PWD chief engineer Govind Prasad Mehra Thursday, uncovering cash, gold, silver, property papers, and investments worth crores. At his Bhopal flats, officials seized Rs 26 lakh in cash, 2.64 kg of gold and 5.5 silver, jewelry, and fixed deposits. His Narmadapuram farmhouse held 17 tonnes of honey, tractors, fish farms, cottages, and high-end equipment. Four luxury cars registered to Mehra or family were also found. A PVC pipe factory in Govindpura, owned by Mehra's sons, yielded cash and property papers. The Lokayukta termed the findings a vast network of benami and named properties attained during Mehra's tenure. Raids continued into the night.
