Srinagar, Oct 9: The relocation of shops from Goni Khan side—which had earlier delayed the construction of Amira Kadal pedestrian footbridge—has been completed, officials of Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) said on Thursday adding the project is now progressing smoothly.

“There were five shops that needed to be relocated, and all have now been shifted to new locations. The work is proceeding without any hindrance,” said SSCL Chief Engineer, Abdul Qayoom Kirmani while speaking to Rising Kashmir.

He added that construction is currently in full swing and the bridge is expected to be completed within the next 15–20 days.
