IOWA CITY — What better story can you write?

To Iowa junior defensive back Koen Entringer, things lined up in a storybook way for linebacker Jayden Montgomery to make his first career start against Wisconsin on Saturday.

Montgomery, who joined the Hawkeyes in the class of 2022 with Entringer, will make his first career start in his home state as the injury replacement for Jaden Harrell, who suffered an injury two weeks ago against Indiana, at middle linebacker.

Entringer, a Ypsilanti, Michigan native, knows a thing or two about getting a first career start against a home state program. He earned his first career start against Michigan State in East Lansing last season.
