The Pueblo Central Wildcats opened their 3A Southern League action on Thursday, Oct. 9, by hosting the Canon City Tigers at Dutch Clark Stadium.
The Wildcats (2-3) came into the game ready to turn their season around after a tough non-league schedule. The Tigers (2-3) came into the game ready to take on a tough conference schedule.
After Pueblo Central stopped Canon City on its first possession of the game, the offense came out and was stopped as well; however, that wasn’t the worst part of the series. Running back and linebacker Dayton Blok suffered a leg injury on his first carry of the game and would miss the rest of the game.
With the majority of the offense out for the Wildcats, it was tough for them to move the ball. Consequently, on the other side of the ball, the defense was wit
