The battle for Capital Area Activities Conference Blue division supremacy reaches its pinnacle Friday when the unbeaten Grand Ledge Comets (6-0, 4-0) travel to Memorial Stadium to face the unblemished DeWitt Panthers (6-0, 3-0) .
The Panthers have been nothing short of dominant, coming off a 58-0 dismantling of Holt. DeWitt ’s offense runs through senior quarterback Traverse Moore and senior Jacob Schorfhaar, who has established himself as Moore’s favorite target.
Grand Ledge downed Lansing Everett 36-8 last week, led by the dynamic trio of senior running back Mason Myers and junior playmakers Kingston Nixon and Coleman Vanfossen. The Comets will be seeking some payback as DeWitt dominated last year’s matchup with a 42-0 blanking at Grand Ledge .
