The Windsor Spitfires do not want to see losses stack up.

After seven wins in a row to start the season, Windsor fell for the first time this season on Sunday and Thursday was a chance to rebound and get back in the win column.

“We weren’t going to go 68-0, but you want to try to minimize that and win every hockey game,” Spitfires’ second-year forward Ethan Belchetz said.

The former first overall pick in the 2024 OHL Draft, Belchetz secured the Spitfires win with a goal 83 seconds into overtime as the No. 2-ranked Spitfires beat the Guelph Storm 3-2 at the WFCU Centre.

“If you’re going to lose a game, you want to have the next game be super strong and coming in with an overtime win is pretty good, Belchetz said.
