New roadside cameras are to be installed across Bolton to target ‘persistent speeders’.
Bolton council said a similar scheme has seen persistent speeding offences reduced by 80 per cent after six cameras were installed across the A579, the A676, Hulton Lane and University Way in December last year.
Now Bolton council says following that trial, the Vision Zero project will been extended to the entirety of the A58 ring road with six new cameras installed.

In the borough of Bolton, the A58 passes through Westhoughton before taking traffic along roads including Beaumont Way, Victoria Road, Moss Bank Way, Crompton Way, Bury Road and Bolton Road.
