A Tamil Nadu-based man has written a LinkedIn post about how he began his career as a security guard at Zoho and, through determination and self-learning, went on to become a software development engineer at the same company.

In his LinkedIn post that has now gone viral, Abdul Alim detailed his remarkable journey from hardship to success, despite having no college degree.

Alim wrote that in 2013, he left his home with just Rs 1,000, spending Rs 800 on a train ticket. With no job and nowhere to go, he spent close to two months on the streets before getting a job as a security guard at Zoho’s office.

During one of his 12-hour shifts, a senior employee at Zoho, Shibu Alexis, noticed him and engaged in a conversation.
