A tsunami warning has been issued across several countries after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines.

People living along the south coast have been urged to move inland or move to higher ground after the quake struck about 38 miles (62 km) southeast of Manay town, in the Mindanao region.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has predicted waves of up to 1-3 metre which may also hit parts of Indonesia.

Civil defence official Raffy Alejandro said at least one person had been killed after the powerful earthquake struck.
