Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, announced that the Meta AI-powered Reels translation feature now supports Hindi and Portuguese. Introduced earlier this year in August, it can translate Reels into different languages without any additional steps.

The update is also helpful for creators who want to increase their reach and connect with a wider audience. In a blog post, Meta says the feature uses the “sound and tone of your own voice so it feels authentically you”, with the lip-syncing matching the mouth’s movements to the translated audio.
